We welcome anyone who likes to knit or crochet to join our group, and supply the yarn and the patterns. Knitters supply their own needles. Our shawls are knit with acrylic yarn, as it can be machine washed and dried.

Confirmation offers young Christians the opportunity to invest in the fundamentals of their faith.

Students are challenged and supported to explore and grow in every aspect of faith: service, fellowship, scholarship, and worship. The multi-week course, which begins during the fall and concludes in the spring, culminates in a personal statement of faith. This statement is used to introduce confirmands to the larger church as full-members. Confirmation Sunday offers families a chance to celebrate and recognize their children in the presence of the full congregation.

Book and Dagger: How Scholars and Librarians Became the Unlikely Spies of World War II, nonfiction by Elysse Graham, is the subject of the Book Club’s March discussion. It brings to life the previously untold tale of the academics who became OSS spies, invented modern spy-craft, and helped turn the tide of the war. The author takes readers all over the world to show how, as Nazis burned books, book lovers were defending the freedom of ideas.

The final book in the 2025 reading-discussion series is The Secret Life of Sunflowers by Marta Molnar, a gripping and inspiring novel based on the true story of Johanna Bonger, Vincent van Gogh's sister-in-law. It begins when Hollywood auctioneer Emsley Wilson finds her famous grandmother's diary while cleaning out her New York brownstone; the pages are full of surprises, but the greatest surprise is that the diary isn’t her grandmother’s, after all, but was written by Johanna as a 28-year-old widow with nothing to her name—except some paintings. . . .
